about

I’m Not Ready for This Century - another song Tim wrote when we had the band with Bob Cuomo. I think Bob called us “the Ex-Patriots” but nobody else did. Bob’s lyrics to this song were “I’m not a patriot” or something like that over and over. Bob and I later formed United Misanthrope, which later became Krakdown, but I was kicked out of the band for failing to shave my head. The opening bass line was Tim’s idea as a nod to A Clockwork Orange. Dude, you’re going to have to read faster, the next song has started already.

lyrics

Sometimes life really sucks and I wish I was dead
Problems seem to just add up, there changing everyday
I don’t know, I think it’s funny is it me or the world that’s not ready for this century

I'm not ready for this century, wish it was 1000 BC
I’m not ready for, for this century

What went wrong, when did it happen
I wasn’t born and that makes me angry

I'm not ready for this century, wish it was 1000 BC
I’m not ready for, for this century

Stands For Nothing New York

Hardcore punk
recorded live in Crowley's bedroom 1985

"S.F.N. 'Stands For Nothing,' but their music is definitely a cut above. Very tight playing and excellent production bring out some of the subtleties in their complex power-thrash approach. Bits of jazz thrown in here and there break the uniformity, as do the intelligent lyrics. Lotsa songs."
